Overview

GGIS is happy to announce we have started coding and programming classes to give our students hands-on opportunities to build robots and create navigation programs. Our interactive lessons are a great way for students to explore the exciting world of robotics! We will provide 1-day workshops as well as 3 months courses, organized to help students learn through practical experiments. These lessons are designed to help students have fun, and enriching experiences with technology. We also plan to release full enrollment courses from April 2022! Stay tuned for more information!!

The 1-day workshop is a chance for students to use plug-n-play robotics kits such as Code & Go Robot Mouse and Lego WeDo to help them understand how to program and build robots, while making new friends and developing new skills.  Students will engage in creative and challenging remote-controlled robot-centered activities.  Students will need to work together to overcome obstacles, and unlock new resources, all while immersed in a supportive English environment.

*Recommended age. If you have a request regarding your child’s age, GGIS we may be able to accommodate your request depending on your child’s skills or English level.

  2. In case of siblings participating, please register and apply for each child separately.
  3. GGIS event and classroom photos will be posted on related websites such as school blogs and Facebook.
  4. Parents may not stay to watch the lesson to help us keep the number of participants small and minimize distraction.
  5. Extension: There is a window of pickup time for your child.  Please make sure to be on there by the time.  2000 yen extension fee per 30 minutes will be charged if you do not pick-up your child by the appointed time. 
  6. After submitting this form, cancellations or changes cannot be made to your application.   Please make sure to contact us with any questions or concerns beforehand.
  7. Once you have paid your participation fee, it cannot be refunded.
  8. Guest students will receive an invoice after your application is accepted. GGIS students will be charged on the following month’s invoice.
  9. There are no substitutions for 1-Day Workshops.

Explore the limits of imagination while also having fun! Students will join an immersive 3-month course using robotic kits such as Lego WeDo and Code & Go Robot Mouse to learn and refine programming fundamentals while developing critical thinking and social skills. The course includes six lessons where students work together to solve problems and use concepts to operate their robot.  Beginner English learners and novice programmers are encouraged to join.

Students will transfer this knowledge into Minecraft and explore the limits of their imagination! Beginner English learners and novice programmers are encouraged to join.
