Afterschool programs are for children aged two and older, with safe pick up from schools and drop-off service at your house available.

The main goal of the program is to learn English as a second language or to maintain English for returnees and international children.

Please contact us to find out which schools are available for pick up and what programs are suitable for your child!

Jordan Helm
Afterschool Manager

As someone who has studied Japanese for over 10 years, I know firsthand how important the right environment is for learning a language.

Our Afterschool Program is a 100% English environment where children are encouraged to always communicate in English with both teachers and peers. Whether a student is just beginning or already comfortable with English, everyone is welcomed and supported.
During my university studies in Tokyo, I discovered that language acquisition happened best when I was actively using Japanese in a meaningful, fun situations and not just studying it.

That’s why we aim to create opportunities for students to have peer-to-peer communication and improve their fluency. Not just with classmates but our teachers, who are warm, friendly, and approachable, which helps students feel safe enough to try, make mistakes, and learn! 🙂

In our Language Arts program, our younger students focus on phonics and decoding, while older students work on grammar points, writing, and more structured reading to strengthen their speaking skills. We also bring in STEAM activities, group projects, and hands-on lessons that keep learning fresh and exciting.

We strive to create a family-like atmosphere where every student feels at home, supported, and excited to return each day.

We look forward to welcoming you to our GG family to help your child thrive!

Guilherme Falcetti
Afterschool Leader

As a father of 3 sons and educator with over 10 years of experience, I’ve learned that children learn best when they are motivated, relaxed, and having fun.

At GGIS’s Afterschool Program, we integrate STEAM in our lessons to engage students through fun, hands-on projects which are all conducted in English.

Unlike traditional English classes that focus on grammar or memorization, our approach is project-based and designed to connect English with other subjects such as Science, Math, Social Studies, and Programming. Through these activities, students don’t translate from Japanese into English. Instead, they think, discuss, and apply new concepts directly in English.

Young learners thrive when they forget about “studying a language” and focus on exciting challenges, whether designing an electric circuit, building a bridge to test its strength, or mixing the right chemicals to create an explosive reaction!

In the process, students don’t just learn English; they also develop problem-solving and critical-thinking skills in a supportive, creative environment.

We hope we can share our passion for learning with you and your family!
